Myopia
Myopia is the condition in which things that are far away are blurred or indistinct, but things close can be viewed easily and clearly. Hyperopia
Hyperopia is essentially the opposite of Myopia. Hyperopia is characterized by clear vision when viewing objects in the distance but blurred vision up close. Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a distortion of the image as reflected on the retina. This is caused by a misshapen cornea or lens of the eye. Combinations of these three conditions are common and easily treatable with Lasik eye surgery. However, any condition of the eye other than these, such as presbyopia, the hardening of the lens with age are not treatable with the surgery. Previous | Next
